At Foothill Pulmonary, our team specializes in dealing with prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases in pulmonary, critical care, sleep disorders, and internal medicine. Our practitioners specialize in a wide spectrum of diseases including asthma, COPD, pulmonary fibrosis, sleep apnea, diabetes, thyroid disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, preventative health and acute illnesses. We provide on-site pulmonary function testing and radiologic services.  We also coordinate sleep apnea evaluations and management, Medicare initial and well exams, routine physical exams and pre-operative clearance exams. We also provide continuity of care when our patients are hospitalized while coordinating care for you and your family.

In Office Services

Pulmonary specialists are requested to evaluate and treat respiratory complications while you are in the clinic. These complications can include asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

State of the art equipment used to diagnose conditions affecting the chest, its contents, and nearby structures.

A sleep study is a test that examines what happens to your body during sleep. The studies are done to find out what is causing your sleep problems. The most common test, a Polysomnogram (PSG) is preformed overnight, usually in a lab.

An electrocardiogram is performed to measure the electrical activity of the heart. The recorded results are reviewed and transcribed by one of our physicians in the clinic.

Treatment of breathing disorders such as asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Pulmonary specialists are requested to evaluate and treat breathing problems while you are hospitalized. These types of problems could be asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Sleep specialist evaluate and help treat sleep disturbances or disorders while you are in the clinic. Sleep disturbances and disorders can include sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome (RLS), narcolepsy, insomnia and periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD).

A certified phlebotomist will take a small sample of your blood and/or urine for analysis as per requested by your physician to the following labs: Western Health Sciences, Quest Diagnostics, and Lab Corp.

Hospital Services

Pulmonary specialists are requested to evaluate and treat breathing problems while you are hospitalized. These types of problems could be asthma, bronchitis, emphysema, or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

We offer hospital coverage to other physicians in the San Gabriel Valley.

Bronchoscopy is a test to view the airways and diagnose lung disease. It may also be used during the treatment of some lung conditions.

A pulmonary exercise test measures many of your body’s functions, including the rate and rhythm of your heartbeat; blood pressure; breathing patterns; exhaled air; blood oxygen and carbon dioxide; and your general physical condition. It involves exercising on either a stationary bike or a treadmill, with the amount of exercise you are asked to do being gradually increased.

Life-threatening injuries and illnesses need critical care. Critical care involves close, constant attention by a team of specially-trained health professionals. It usually takes place in an intensive care unit (ICU) or trauma center. Problems that might need critical care treatment include complications from surgery, accidents, infections and severe breathing problems.

Ventilation management involves providing mechanical ventilation to promote the patient’s recovery and to reestablish spontaneous breathing.

Thoracentesis is a procedure to remove fluid from the space between the lining of the outside of the lungs (pleura) and the wall of the chest.

The physicians and staff at Foothill Pulmonary have been using NextGen electronic health computer based system in the office since 2007. We are committed to using the most current electronic technology to help provide the best, most efficient medical care possible for our patients while complying with the HIPPA laws and guarding their privacy.

We have actively participated in several clinical trials.

A second opinion is a visit to a different physician than the one a patient has previously been seeing in order to get a differing point-of-view. We offer and conduct professional opinion consultations on a regular basis. If you are seeking a second opinion, please contact our office directly to set up an appointment. Please make sure you bring your medical records and any chest x-rays, CT or MRI Scans you have had.
