To: Foothill pulmonary
and Critical Care Employees
On behalf of the Tactical
Movement Team 3 and Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 3, Port
Hueneme California, I take great pleasure in thanking all of you
for your unselfish efforts directed in support of the troops serving
in Iraq. A great part of fighting a war encompasses a search for
the right cause. A Seabee often tries to justify his presence and
his role in a country that many believe has no hope in recovery.
The most important goal in Seabees mind is to protect his fellow
shipmates. There is no greater joy than to know that there are still
people back home that share the same goal. People like you. Everybody
enjoyed the care packages that you have sent me. The Victoria Secret
magazine was a great morale booster the whole team. The packs of
Marlboro Lights*, even though sent by the very doctors and nurses
who fight against smoking, were a great stress reliever during the
hard times. The snacks hit the spot as we ate them and love regardless
of their contents. Your prayers have kept us safe and we felt the
presence of something greater than we could fathom.
Thank you for all that you have done. Thank you for going out of
your way to help people you never even met. Thank you for being
the patriotic Americans. Thank you for showing love for this country
in the times of confusion and dilemma. You are the ones who deserve
the medals. We did our job. You are the ones who went out of your
way to aid in the fight.
You should all be proud of yourselves, as we are proud of you. We
all found the sweetest place for you in our hearts, and we will
remember your prayers forever.
With respect,
Engineering Aid Petty
Officer Third Class
United States Navy Seabees
Dejan Samardzic
